ES80 GA with ED objective lens

ES fieldscopes are designed to build on the success of previous models, delivering best in class optical performance wrapped up in a brand new tactile rubber body. This package also includes the new (Sept 2006) green stay on case with the wide band neoprene shoulder strap.

polycarbonate protected in textured, tactile, natural rubber armour.

Application of Opticron F-type multi-coating to enhance colour contrast and apparent definition.

Nitrogen waterproofing to eliminate potential problems of condensation and dust.

Available in three variants; 80mm SD, 80mm ED and 100mm ED, the instruments excel in the most important area for the majority of users: image quality. The reduction of almost all visible chromatic aberration at 60x magnification with the 80 SD sets the standard for both definition and tonal quality, further improved upon with the 80 ED and 100 ED.

Weight is kept to a minimum and the 'scopes are well balanced for effective use on a tripod. Other features include a retractable lens hood, integrated rubber objective lens cover, conveniently positioned wide band focusing wheel and rotating tripod sleeve to enable maximum versatility in hides, car windows or viewing from a sitting or prone position.

Fully compatible with SDL, HDF and HR eyepieces to offer an exciting array of viewing options of 20x to 100x (80mm) and 30x to 134x (100). The 2.5x UTA is available for even greater magnification.

Each model can also be converted for use with SLR cameras for telephotography and are supplied complete with a comprehensive 30 year guarantee.

Staff at SW Optics have tested and compared this best seller to other popular German and Austrian brands at twice the price and to be honest, there's very little difference! Coupled with the new SDF Super Zoom or the new HDF Zoom, you will be pleasantly surprised. We used the HDF on max power of 60x, and detected no aberration or colour fringing at all. The edge to edge sharpness was impressive and there was no bending of vertical uprights at the edges at all. At 60x magnification, the scope held its clarity and contrast and showed no signs of becoming grainy or misty. The new tactile rubber armouring is a joy to hold and use.
